8 月 4 日消息，据外媒 neowin 今天报道，微软正通过 WSL（适用于 Linux 的 Windows 子系统），将 Azure Linux 4.0 引入 Win10/Win11 PC。
据报道，Azure Linux 最初基于 Fedora 开发，采用 RPM 软件包，主要用于微软云设施和边缘服务。微软于 2023 年正式将其命名为 Azure Linux，并将其作为 Azure Kubernetes Service 容器主机正式推出。目前，Azure Linux 4.0 已经进入公开预览阶段。
IT之家从原报道了解到，Azure Linux 专为云计算等工作优化，因此并不像 Windows 那样提供图形界面。该系统面向 Azure 客户免费提供，无需额外授权费用。如今微软宣布推出适用于 WSL 的 Azure Linux 4.0 Beta 版本，用户可直接在 Windows PC 中运行这个操作系统。
同时，WSL 版 Azure Linux 4.0 提供完整的终端环境，支持 systemd，兼容 x86-64 和 Arm64 两种架构。
此外，该系统要求 Windows 10 22H2 或 Windows 11 操作系统，用户需安装 WSL 2 后才能使用该系统。
