英国宣布超级计算机项目“Sunrise”，为核聚变探索提供算力支持

IT之家 3 月 17 日消息，英国政府当地时间本月 16 日宣布将斥资 4500 万英镑建设超级计算机 "Sunrise"。该系统将用于核聚变技术探索，聚焦等离子体湍流、材料开发、氚燃料增殖等领域，有望成为全球最强大的聚变能源 AI 超算。
IT之家了解到，"Sunrise" 超级计算机将由戴尔建造，综合 AMD 的 EPYC 霄龙处理器与 Instinct 显卡加速器，包括 192 个双 56 核 CPU 节点和共计 672 块 GPU，总规模 1.4MW，AI 加速算力 6.76 Exaflops，计划于今年 6 月投入运营。
